Vicki, I looked at all of the entries and think that yours was the most interesting by far....good going!!
I didn't see yours on the website, hope you aren't still working on it...?????
Also, thanks for placing it off center!!!
What do you know....your blog looks like it is going to accept a comment from me. You may rue the day.

Ahhh...another blog virgin bites the dust! That verbage comes from Lisa Rico.

Nice one Vicki, you added some real punch to it with the background. And did you win this competition with yourself...ha? Great painting.

Thanks Vern! One thing about competing with yourself is that you can either win all the time or lose all the time! Depends on which side of the bed you get up on!

I love the loose background. The brushstrokes overall are interesting and not overworked.

Wow Vicki, love your loose brushstrokes and vibrant colors!

Thanks Maria! I'm going to have to look for other paintings that will work for this type background!

Carol, it's amazing where you can find color in a monotone statue...all about learning to see!

Great movement in your painting mixed with a very nice rendition of the statue. Well done.

I love the movement you created with this painting! Well done!!

Dominique! thanks...I figured if Diana was the huntress, she should be in a raw environment.

Glenda...if I only knew how to repeat this happy accident.

The loose brushworks you used in the background looks like it was fun to paint. It caught my attention. Great job.

Glad it stood out among all the others! Thanks for commenting

I think you did a really nice job on the background.

The background looks wild and manic and compliments the still pose of the statue perfectly!
