I can hardly believe it is halfway through January already. Our challenge group started by Diana Moses Botkin still keeps chugging along. The current 3 of us are reluctant to give it up because it provides some semblance of structure to our studio time...and in many cases over the past few years has given us reason to even go into our studio!
This month was my choice, and it is...ta-daaa...Sunlit Space. Thought that sounded bright and happy for good thoughts in the middle of winter.

live the shafts of light and the texture vicki! beautifully done.
Thank you for the "ray of sunshine" you provided for our Challenge this month, dear Vicki!
Please tell us about that exhibition hall you painted to illustrate your sunny idea. I love the space and light.
Diana, this view is at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art here in Bentonville, AR. The entire complex is built down in a valley, surrounded by water. Each building has walls of glass that help create a pleasing environment, and 'cleanse the eye' from one exhibit to another. It is a stunning museum...grounds AND collection
