"Petco with Poppy"
8x11" oil on canvas
Once again, my challenge group amazes me! Who'd a thunk it...a one word concept interpreted in wild directions...Thanks Becky Joy for this one... In the buggy (from left) Annie, Frankie (visiting for the weekend), Beemer (daddy of Frankie and BJ), and Beemer, Jr. (BJ). Randy carries a special pad with him to put in the bottom of the buggy so their tender feetsies are comfortable. Beemer used to be as black as BJ until he had 'babies'.

I LOVE your interpretation of this month's Challenge, Vicki. What fun!
You've truly captured the excitement of shopping with your eager models.
The hairy kids are always so fun to paint! Glad you like it...
This is so unexpected and wonderful! The dogs always need something too and they seem to be enjoying the experience!
I love the energy in this painting. The knife work in the background and shopping cart is particularly effective. Really nice!
Mary, our babies are always ready to go. They have a lambswool car seat...they'd rather spend hours in the car than being home alone :) Only in cool weather, though.
Thanks so much Mark! That knife comes in handy after I've finished 'what I want to say' about a painting...I just couldn't stand the idea of doing that shopping cart realistically!
Love this doggy painting of yours!!
Our hairy kids are so much fun to be around AND paint. Thanks!
